Macmillan Coffee Morning for staff, parents and students

The School Council Charity Committee and the Community Committee, would like to invite you to a Macmillan Coffee Morning for staff and parents, not forgetting a Giant Bake Sale for the students and an Easter egg raffle. There will also be entertainment from the Music Department, getting you in the mood for the rest of the day. This will be held in the main hall on Tuesday 22nd March, starting at 10:30am and finishing at 12:00pm. We hope to raise as much money as possible for a really worthy cause. Students have been tirelessly organising the event for the last few weeks, asking staff for decorations for the hall, donations of tea and coffee and most importantly, cakes! To make the event a success we would love your help in a number of ways. Firstly, if you have any decorations such as paper table cloths or balloons we would appreciate if you could donate them. Secondly, we need donations of tea, coffee, cups, milk, biscuits and really importantly cakes, backed by you! Thirdly, we would like to do an Easter egg raffle, so if you have a spare Easter egg, we are asking you to kindly donate it to us. Finally, we would like your company at the coffee morning. If you have some spare time then come and join us. For security on site, this will have to be a ticket only event. Tickets can be purchased for only £2 each (this will include drinks and a cake) from students in school. Some information about Macmillan: There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. By 2030, it will be 4 million people, and we want to be there for them all. One in three of us will get cancer, and it will be one of the toughest things we’ll ever have to face. Our goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone. We provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. And because cancer affects more than just those facing it, we’re there for friends and family too. We are Macmillan. We hope to see you there, King regards, The Charity Committee
